The new worshipping community at Wissahickon Church is an extension and outpouring of the ministry of Roxborough Church. This church is committed to seeing the truth of the Gospel go out from the church in order to transform the people and the community around it. We believe in the power of Jesus to redeem and restore and trust that the re-plant of a worshipping community in Wissahickon will carry that vision further into the city of Philadelphia.
Worship with us
We would love for you to join us for worship on Saturday Evenings at 5:00. You can expect our worship services to be uplifting and engaging with a live message every single week. Our music will feature a full band and blend Contemporary and Gospel elements. Regardless of your background, we want you to feel at home and blessed by the time that you spend worshipping with us.
Wissahickon Church is a partner congregation of Roxborough Church. Both churches operate under the same leadership and share the same DNA, Vision, Mission and Purpose: We desire to see people come to know Jesus and the transformative power of a relationship with him.
Reverend Raymond Garcia graduated from Eastern University in 2000 with a major in Youth Ministry and minors in Biblical Studies and Communications. He received his Master of Divinity from Palmer Theological Seminary in 2007. Rev. Garcia is the Founder and Executive Director of The Philadelphia Project and Pastor of Roxborough Church. His wife, Michelle (Thomas) Garcia ’09, is also an alumna of Eastern University and serves with him in his ministries. They have four children, sons Isaiah, Nathan, and Thomas, and daughter Cadence.
Pastor Charles Jones has been faithfully serving our community on the other side of Roxborough since early 2010. He believes “community” is an integral part of being the Church and continues to cultivate this belief through intentional local relationships throughout the Greater Philadelphia Area. Pastor Charlie, along with his wife, Laurie, and their two youngest children, Mikayla and Noah, are excited to lead this new location in its most formative years. Furthering our Church’s commitment to share the Good News through the local church witness across our great city.
Diane Hughes is a South Dakota native but has been living in Philadelphia the past two decades. She enjoys gardening, reading with her daughter and BBQing with her husband.
